For Sale:
Marlin 336 RC (Regular Carbine 20" Barrel) 30-30 Serial P6166- In very good serviceable condition.
Rifle manufactured in 1957 at the New Haven Plant with right hand side of barrel "JM" stamped. Micro Groove bore in excellent shape with bright sharp rifling from chamber to muzzle. No rust, no pitting, and no frosting. Muzzle/Crown in excellent shape with no knicks or gouges.
Original bluing is wearing thin on sharp edges and wear in the typical spots from working action. There is some slight pitting on outside of barrel and sides of receiver but at a minimum for a 66yr old rifle. All screws, sights, and bands present/tight with screw slots well defined and not buggered up.
The Black Walnut furniture retains the original finish and has some light scrapes in forearm and some marks on the buttstock. It exhibits some flip flop figure depending on how light reflects off it and hard to capture in the photos. Buttplate and white line spacer are in great shape with buttplate screws not rusted or having rolled over edges. Plastic is not cracked, but spacer is discolored somewhat due to age. The PG does not have a cap/spacer as the 1957 Model year was a transition year.
Overall, a very nice 66yr old 336 Carbine with original finish, honest carry wear, and like new bore.
