I have a Slik Pro 3 but the threads are too big for my spotter, and I'm not having much luck on finding the correct threads. Where do I go to find the correct threaded piece. Thanks in advance

Does your spotter have a removable reducer?

Or put arca adapters on your stuff, and just snap them on and off as needed......

Once you go arca, you won’t go back. Or put arca adapters on your stuff, and just snap them on and off as needed......

The Spotter is a Athlon Ares and its thread is smaller diameter

I tried to see what tripod you said you have. I typed in III instead of 3 and found a slik pro III. Looks like it has a 3/8 thread so all you need is a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter.

Take the 3/8 to 1/4 adapter out of the spotting scope base. (Assuming it has one, every spotting scope I’ve had has one.) Buy this, https://slikusa.com/products/quick-release-plate-6183-bk, or go arca like Hunts said. The Spotter is a Athlon Ares and its thread is smaller diameter

Doing some backtracking on the OP's previous search for a tripod, Brad linked a Slik that I'm going to assume is the one the OP purchased. https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbt...or-spotting-and-chronograph#Post17343402It has a 1/4"-20 mounting screw on the QR plate. I'd be utterly surprised if the Athlon spotter didn't have the same threads. Is it possible something else is going on like buggered up threads on one or the other? ETA- or another possibility of a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter sticking to the QR plate when it was unscrewed from an optic, and now obviously makes it too big for the 1/4" threads on the Athlon. Pics of everything sure would help.
