I like my Lumix DMC tz70-CE1731. It fits in a shirt pocket nicely. I do want a through the lens viewer.
Any ideas? Thanks.

You'll probably find very limited stock at the stores right now. With the advances in cell phone cameras and the ongoing chip shortages, point and shoot cameras are pretty scarce (and expensive)
I needed a new one for my Africa trip and hit some pawn shops. Found a Canon SX620 HS for $100. It was everything I needed and has a very impressive 25x zoom.

I've tried several different point and shoot cameras. Worst one was a through the lens viewing camera. To big to carry in a pocker and worst part eas looking through the lense you got a terrible view! I mean if what I saw in the view finder was what I'd have got, I'd have thrown it in the arbage. But the photo's did come out pretty well. Have a Canon something or other 740 that took great picture's. Problem is it went to pot to soon and is in the shop now! Also have a Nikon S 6900, also having trouble with it after about a year but still sort of works. Takes really good photo's even now but simply not working right and drives me up a wall. Both of these cameras I carry in a belt pouch. Tried a shirt pocket with an earlier and just doesn't work. Trip and fall and out come's the camers and destroys the view finder! Don't ask how I know! Hoping for a new point and shoot pretty soon and if I can find either Nikon S 6900 or that canon something 740, I'd just might figure I simply got a bad one and give then another try! Other than they simply went bad to soon they were perfect! Every company put's out a bad product now and then!

I made a mistake when I said Coolpix. I have an earlier version of a Panasonic Lumix DC Vario. Great point and shoot. Shirt pocket size. Most of the photos I have posted on various forums of 24hour have been taken with this camera. If you have one I would not search further. https://www.amazon.com/PANASONIC-Vario-ELMAR-Megapixels-Sensitivity-DMC-ZS60K/dp/B00KW5OKU4?th=1
