Dude just about every other actor in that flick was a refugee. (Btw she was French and the last of the major players to pass)

It was just OK the first time I saw it but it gets better every time I watch it again. So much irony and sarcasm, so well done. One of the all time greats in my opinion.

Just like "the sound of music" or "it's a wonderful life" I just can't get into those older movies..... I'm a mid 40's gen X'r and they are just damn slow and boring for me..... I do love the music of those time periods though so I'm not a complete heathen. πŸ˜‰

Liked it, as well as all of Bogart's movies.

Holy smokes man, what the heck is the matter with you??? eek
I believe there’s 7 quotes from the film that made it into every day life.
β€œHere’s lookin at you, kid” β€œplay-it again, Sam”, β€œwe’ll always have Paris” β€œmaybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of our lives”, β€œthis could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship”, β€œround up the usual suspects
And of course β€œYippie Khy Yie Aye, [bleep]” grin!
But really, Ingred Burgman? If I had to choose between her and Maureen O’Hare, And I think I’ve got an eye for gorgeous ladies...
One of my all time favorites.

My favorite Bogart movie is Treasure of the Sierra Madre & the part when he becomes a psychopath is typical of him IMO.

He reminds me of a Chihuahua. Have always wondered if I should start from the beginning with him & see more of his works or another side.

That's about my reaction to the movie, "it's OK". I prefer old movies for the most part, but Casablanca was a snoozer. I prefer Key Largo.

One of those outstanding Bogart films that I never grow tired of, along with Sahara (1943), The Treasure of the Sierra Madre and Key Largo.
