We’re headed up for a few days over the Fourth of July holiday, any suggestions on things to do and places to eat? Fishing advice appreciated too. Thanks
We like the Mexican place right on the riverbend across from the hot springs lodge.
It's called Tequila's. Get an outside seat if possible.

Yes, on the south side of Hwy 160 about 1/2 mile past the hot springs heading east. It's a small place so keep an eye out. Easier to park on the street as their parking lot is cramped.

We’ll probably give them both a try.
Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.
I've been through there several times. I don't find anything special about Pagosa Springs. For a day trip cross over Wolf Creek Pass (playing CW McCall's song of course) into South Fork. Take a left and spend a few hours in Creede. Drive the Bachelor's loop road and check out the old mines and the mining museum. A very scenic drive and a lot of old west silver mine history. For me that would be more interesting than anything in Pagosa Springs. There are some good places to eat there too.
Bob Ford (Jessie James killer) was murdered and buried in Creede. His body was later exhumed and moved.
Check out the Bruce Spruce Ranch, just 15 northeast of Pagosa Springs. It is a fun and beautiful place to stay right next to the San Juan Forest. It is family-owned since 1966 and has different-sized cabins, RV spots, and tent spaces, and 2 stocked rainbow trout ponds. Wolf Creek runs through the property, and the West Fork of the San Juan River is just down the dirt road. They may also still have horseback riding.
It is a gorgeous place and well worth checking out. It is just off Highway 160 northeast of Pagosa Springs. Turn left off mile marker 158 onto the West Fork Forest Service Rd. They have a website for more information.
