....you pull off a group like this. Love my 7mm-08!!!! Groups usually average around the 3/4" mark, but occasionally I get a one holer like this one. I measured it wrong to start with. The 0.560 is outside edge to outside edge. Forgot to subtract the bullet diameter of .284. Actual group size is 0.267".

Holy Moley!!! And in a PUMP!!! I always tell folks those Amish Machine Guns will outshoot lots of bolt actions. Good shooting on your part! The rifle can't do it if the man behind the trigger can't.

Bring enough gun and know how to use it.

Dad (Dave in WV) took a 5pt near his house with a Remmy 7600 laminate in 7mm-08. Thinking he like his gun. Nice groups but not do "down play" your post....I can't act surprised. Those Remmy pumps have a habit of shooting pretty good in my experience. Enjoy your pump gun.

"Amish Machine Guns"...that's a good one? Is that because the 7600's are so popular in PA?

Glad to hear Dave put one in the freezer. I've chatted with him a few times - we've both got the 7600 Laminate in 7mm-08. Didn't you buy that gun for him?

firstshot: Yeah. And I know several Amish that use them, even here in northern Missouri. I reload for a guy that has one in .30-06, and that 760 will consistently shoot 3/4" groups with several different bullets. Only thing I do special is use small base dies.

Are you using small base dies for your 7-08?

NO. Not using small base dies and have had absolutely no feeding problems. I asked around about the small base dies when I first got the pump and was told to try my regular dies first and only go to the small base if I ran into feeding probs....so....no feeding probs = no small base dies.

Yup, I bought it for him. Honestly I would have bought two if I could have afforded it. I really like it. I have his mid 70s vintage 760 in '06 and it's a shooter as well. FWIW, I use SB dies although he used standard FL dies without any trouble.
