Bought one for my LH Tikka T3X Super Light 7 Rem Mag Weight of Stockys stock 1# 6.1 ounces B&C stock weight 2# 1.9 ounces Factory Stock 1# 11.8 ounces Rifle weight with 3x9 SWFA rail and SWFA rings in B&C stock no mag 8# 2.8 ounces Rifle same configuration in Stockys stock 7# 2.8 ounces Stock has minimal recoil pad 13.75 inch LOP, lots of mold marks as stated in description. B&C stock has a better fit and finish with a thicker wrist just needs a diet, factory stock is quite nice.

My Stocky's CF needed some inletting tweaks to get the barreled-action to seat into the stock. Inletting was too tight, as shipped.

I really like the look of the Stockys stock with the shorter forend. I just assumed it was gonna be like the standard tikka factory stock.

KK Alaska, Can you elaborate on the mold marks? Are they a big deal that severely detracts from the appearance? Are these what are seen at the rear of the stock in your photo's? If the stock was a matte finish, would they be as noticeable?

From Stocky (Unfinished Carbon - these are literally shipped just about how they came from the mold, with any cosmetic imperfections we notice addressed by our staff. Some minor cosmetic spots may remain such as small areas of porosity, tooling marks and carbon fiber burrs. You can use these stocks as they are, touch them up or just scuff and paint, now or down the road.)
Its unfinished a fine grit sanding may remove mold marks a clear finish after sanding might work or may be slick you can order one painted also yes finish looks uneven like seen in photo.

Thanks, that clarified it. I didn't realize what you were showing is unfinished. A nice matte textured spiderweb paintjob would be really cool. I noticed they offer multiple color options/styles.

From Stockys (Stocky's Take: We fit the Tikka models very tightly to our over-the-counter rifle, there is literally no slop, so visually make sure it is bottoming in the inlet. When you first set in your barreled action into place that is probably the first thing you will notice. Because the recoil lug is seperate from the receiver, getting it seated correctly is of primary importance. With your recoil lug bottomed in the stock, you must have at least about 0.070" protruding into the receiver slot to be considered acceptable. Ideal is 0.800" to 0.900". Nominal Specs: O.A.L. 29.5” L.O.P. 13.5” Weight 600g (21 oz) Recoil Reduction via SVL Limbsaver pad) Set my stock to have .08" protruding with a piece of tape under bottom of lug and went to the range, 3 groups were under 1" Yes a lightly weighted lead sled after shoulder surgery in cold weather a must for range work!

This stock can also be ordered with a vertical grip if that is your preference per Stocky's.

What am I missing with all the Tikka stock swaps? They're already kinda stupid light weight. Shaving 4-5 oz is worth the investment? Comb and cheek weld do not look any higher than factory.
Please God, give me some good tags this year....

I think it’s more like 10 ounces of savings going to one of these. At least the 2 factory stocks I had went (t3 not t3 x) 31 ounces
I would assume these are stiffer. I know my MPI and my wildcat are both considerably stiffer than a factory stock. And they are even lighter at under 20 ounces a piece

Yeah, they are stiffer and about 9 oz lighter. Though if I wasn't concerned about weight/balance, the factory stock has a lot going for it compared to most factory plastic offerings.

Any of you all know a Tikka replacement stock with reduced LOP? Thinking 12.5” for my son.

My action fits deeper in the stock or the stock is taller have to lift the action to see serial numbers on the action. Shoots so well I will leave it alone.
