About 99% of my .270 shooting these days uses reduced loads with IMR4895. Your H4895 loads seem to be getting a bit more velocity at those low 40 grain charge levels. Using a Hornady 130 Spire Point in two different .270's with 22" barrels, one a Remington 700 factory barrel and the other a Pac-Nor barrel, 46.0 IMR4895 gives 2795 and 2815 fps respectively. 41 grains gave 2528 fps.
But that 46 grain charge seems to be a "load that works" since it is the most accurate reduced load in both rifles with 4 and 5 shot groups staying under an inch and occasionally well under. I called them 7mm-08/270 loads since I worked those up before the Creedmoor became all the rage.
For whatever reason, maybe pure coincidence,
that same charge of 46.0 IMR4895 under a Hornady 150 Spire Point also gives outstanding accuracy across three different 30-06 rifles at roughly .300 Savage velocities.
