i never weighed it,its the same design as the origanal leightweight version mod70s,except mine has a 20 inch tube.and it is a tack driver with everything i have ran through it,i would love to see what would happen with handloads. has a hindge floor plate that will hold 5 + 1 in the chamber, but i only put 4 in and 1 in the chamber,no iron site were a option with this rifle, its really a nice handling rifle, and i shot a box of fusion ammo through it which it loves, and thats what i use for deer hunting also the last 3 years in it,the box stats says 3060 from muzzle ,thats with a 24 inch tube,i shot mine with the same ammo and 20 inch tube of course 2982 through the muzzle, holds up pretty darn good.

Thaqt is a carbon copy of my son's first rifle. His was a real pos, I spent two years trying to find a really good hunting load before I found anything that would approach MOA.
Muzzleblast and recoil was way more than a 270 should me, but it was kind of nice to walk around with.
Life's too short to hunt with an ugly gun.

THIS ONE SEEMS TO HAVE NO RECOIL AT ALL,COMPARED TO SOME THAT I HAVE SHOT,AND IT WILL SHOOT THE FUSION UNDER A INCH,AND THE SCIROCCOS RIGHT AT 1/2 INCH,AND I HAVE ALSO SHOT THE WINCHESTER POWER POINTS AT INCH GROUPS ALSO,THIS GUN HAS ONLY HAD ABOUT 400 ROUNDS THROUGH IT AT THE MOST,IF THAT..ITS A REALLY NICE GUN AND SEEMS TO BE LUCKY WITH EVERYONE IN THE FAMILY THAT HAS HUNTED WITH IT,IT HAS KILLED SO MANY DEER I HAVE LOST COUNT,ONE BUCK THE SCORED 179 1/8 THIS YEAR AND I HAVE KILLED A 134-AND A 142 CLASS BUCK WITH IT,THERES MORE BUCKS ALSO IT HAS TAKEN AND A COUNTLESS NUMBER OF DOES,I EVEN TOOK A DOE THIS YEAR WITH IT AT 270 YARDS AWAY WITH THE FUSION AMMO,POINT BLANK AIMING,DROPED IN ITS TRACKS,MY DAD TOOK A DOE A # OF YEARS AGO THAT WAS A HAIR OVER 300,HIT DEAD ON WERE HE WAS AIMING,WE THOUGHT IT WAS A HORSE THAT HAD GOOTEN LOSE UNTIL I LOOKED THROUGH MY BINOS,WE WERE IN THE FARM TRUCK HEADIN BACK TO THE BARN,SHOT WAS MADE OUT OF THE TRUCK ON OR LAND,DEAD DEER...ITS REALLY A NICE RIG.
