i never weighed it,its the same design as the origanal leightweight version mod70s,except mine has a 20 inch tube.and it is a tack driver with everything i have ran through it,i would love to see what would happen with handloads.
has a hindge floor plate that will hold 5 + 1 in the chamber,but i only put 4 in and 1 in the chamber,no iron site were a option with this rifle,its really a nice handling rifle,and i shot a box of fusion ammo through it which it loves, and thats what i use for deer hunting also the last 3 years in it,the box stats says 3060 from muzzle ,thats with a 24 inch tube,i shot mine with the same ammo and 20 inch tube of course 2982 through the muzzle,holds up pretty darn good.

Thats al;l the deer rifle anyone ever would need.
Of course if that same anyone is like me, he likly will end up with a bunch more need them or not ! ...tj3006

Thaqt is a carbon copy of my son's first rifle. His was a real pos, I spent two years trying to find a really good hunting load before I found anything that would approach MOA.

Muzzleblast and recoil was way more than a 270 should me, but it was kind of nice to walk around with.

THIS ONE SEEMS TO HAVE NO RECOIL AT ALL,COMPARED TO SOME THAT I HAVE SHOT,AND IT WILL SHOOT THE FUSION UNDER A INCH,AND THE SCIROCCOS RIGHT AT 1/2 INCH,AND I HAVE ALSO SHOT THE WINCHESTER POWER POINTS AT INCH GROUPS ALSO,THIS GUN HAS ONLY HAD ABOUT 400 ROUNDS THROUGH IT AT THE MOST,IF THAT..ITS A REALLY NICE GUN AND SEEMS TO BE LUCKY WITH EVERYONE IN THE FAMILY THAT HAS HUNTED WITH IT,IT HAS KILLED SO MANY DEER I HAVE LOST COUNT,ONE BUCK THE SCORED 179 1/8 THIS YEAR AND I HAVE KILLED A 134-AND A 142 CLASS BUCK WITH IT,THERES MORE BUCKS ALSO IT HAS TAKEN AND A COUNTLESS NUMBER OF DOES,I EVEN TOOK A DOE THIS YEAR WITH IT AT 270 YARDS AWAY WITH THE FUSION AMMO,POINT BLANK AIMING,DROPED IN ITS TRACKS,MY DAD TOOK A DOE A # OF YEARS AGO THAT WAS A HAIR OVER 300,HIT DEAD ON WERE HE WAS AIMING,WE THOUGHT IT WAS A HORSE THAT HAD GOOTEN LOSE UNTIL I LOOKED THROUGH MY BINOS,WE WERE IN THE FARM TRUCK HEADIN BACK TO THE BARN,SHOT WAS MADE OUT OF THE TRUCK ON OR LAND,DEAD DEER...ITS REALLY A NICE RIG.
