Ran into one of these today. Sako L461 action in 223 Remington. It was in great condition with the exception of a rub mark where the scope bell would come in contact with the Barrel Shank.

Had it been a 243 ...........................................

I believe that the header should be H&R

They are nice rifles I had one years ago and it shot as nice as it looked

I thought it was a Sako until I put my glasses on and read the action and barrel stampings. It is one of the lightest nicest wood and blue guns I have picked up in a long while. The Bluing is just unreal except for one spot on the shank .

They are H&R 317 Ultras. The 17 is on the left, 223 on the right…

I’ve got about 7 or 8 of these little rifles in 223 Rem and they are a very fine little gun
