I just finished reading this book and really recommend it. It gives a great insight into how Glock became a near overnight sensation and the best selling pistol. Basically it was a combination of good luck, good marketing and a better mousetrap.
It is one of those books that was hard to lay down once I started reading it. I checked my copy out at the local library so it is available without having to pay a premium price to read it.

Well, the Libtards are right then . Must be the time for Gay, because every other maker in the World copied glock. Some so close, there were lawsuits.
America is (supposed to be) a Republic, NOT a democracy. Learn the difference, help end the lie. Fear a government that fears your guns.

A handgun (autoloader) without a thumb safety is a cheap, sorry design !!!! Huh, imagine that. Every auto loader I have is without thumb safety, and I don't even own a Glock.
Laws aren't preventative measures. In other words, more laws won't prevent gun crime from happening.

All things considered, the Sig Sauer P-series (P220, P225, P226, P229) is a superior design. Decocker but no safety .... that first DA trigger pull provides the safety aspect and that second SA trigger pull provides a crisp trigger break. Other designs like the CZ75D (the decocker design) provides the same benefits..... although the intricate mechanics of the CZ75D trigger/decocker mechanism can get fouled up sometimes.
The price point has made the glock platform attractive to many.

Hmm, why would anyone want to spend $500 on a reliable handgun when you could spend $1000 on one with half the capacity that may or may not function without a trip to a competent gunsmith and 500 rounds before it's broken in?

The price point has made the glock platform attractive to many. Sigs are so superior that elite military units use them exclusively. Except not.

Make it in black plastic, make it affordable, put it lots of "B" grade action movies...Americans will flock to Glock. I had an FFL way back in the day before 'Dirty Harry' came out, lackluster sales until the movie came out, then sales boomed after the movie came out.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

I've tried to like Glocks, but after trying/owning several different models, they just don't fit my hands well and due to that I just can't get them to shoot to POA, so they went down the road.

Without throwing more gasoline on this fire, I would say that we are lucky to have so many options in semi auto's. A few work for me and a lot do not. i have not shot all of them. so factor that into the arguement. I do have the most time with Glocks. Carried and shot for over 29 years. It does not mean I am not saying they are the best option as I am no expert and would never claim to be! Glocks are just the one platform I have the most experience with. Again, lots of options!

Sigs are gayer than aids. And glocks are Austria’s gun.
(Actually I don’t really care, but the “I have it so it must be the best” attitude is alive and well I see.)

Glocks are horrible....that's why nearly every other gunmaker followed suit.

I couldn’t read a book about Glocks. The inventor is a genius. About a dozen manufacturers are more or less copying all or part of the design. I’ve owned a bunch and they’ve never let me down. I can shoot them as well or better than any other design.
