While I’m in Cody for the gun show I thought I would stop by and see what was happening at Wyoming Arms. Guess who wasn’t there?

The shop foreman took us on a tour through the facility and it was impressive what equipment they have and the work they do. Most of it is for the oil fields, but their AR division really is impressive.

No one there misses John Burns, hard to believe, after you hear him talk about himself…

Didn't see Slum while you were there?

He must've burned out before you arrived.

I'm surprised he no longer works there. He seemed so likeable.

Was he fired because of his gay internet persona or was it his gay internet persona?

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.

The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

I am curious how you asked. Did you just walk up and say "I ran across John Burns on the internet and I want to see him" or something like that? Serious question.

Looks like a packed parking lot and the doors are open.

Any pictures during the tour?

I have no knowledge of JohnBurns’ private life or business life. I’ve enjoyed his contributions here on the fire. He has a quick wit, good sense of humor, and generally a sharp guy. I wish him the best of luck if he has had any misfortune.

Those here reveling in that possibility are pitiful and pathetic, but par for the course for them

Quote
The emotion of pleasure in others' misfortune (Schadenfreude in German) is generally regarded as morally evil. It is often considered to be less acceptable than envy, which is regarded as a deadly sin. It would appear to be morally more perverse to be pleased with another person's misfortune than to be displeased with another person's good fortune. Indeed Arthur Schopenhauer argues that to feel envy is human, but to enjoy other people's misfortune is diabolical. For Schopenhauer, pleasure in others' misfortune is the worst trait in human nature, since it is closely related to cruelty. I believe that once we understand better this emotion, it becomes more natural and acceptable.

I never said he got fired, I said he wasn’t there and no one there misses him. He is a part owner.

When i was in Cody about 20 years ago, Ballard Rifle Co. was still in business. They gave me a tour of their facility, which was impressive. They made a bunch of variations of the High Wall single shot rifles in various configurations and chamberings. I think they sold out to another custom gun builder a little while later.
