President Trump won the Turning Point USA straw poll with 85%, not surprising.
What is surprising is when asked “if not Trump then who”, Ramaswamy came in with 50% well ahead of #3 DeSantis.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

Vivek Ramajammy has written several books...any fire members read any of them? I like his rhetoric of course, but he just came out of the woodwork, not a lot of info to be found on the innernut. I am looking at this cautiously, it's easy to make conservative noises but hard to look into a man's heart and see if he's a conservative warrior.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Ramaswamy just announced that he’d disband a bunch of federal agencies so it stands to reason that he’d be popular. That shows how unpopular the federal agencies are with the public.

He sounds good but sound isn't everything. Again, anyone that chooses to run against Trump this cycle I consider unqualified to be president. They all ought to be campaigning for him.

He is young enough that mental decline should not be an issue. He is ready and willing to debate. He isn't carrying a bunch of personal baggage. If it should turn out that he is truly a fiscal conservative, that will be another thing that he is which Trump is not. I think he is a welcome addition to national politics. GD
