A great book about the battle of of Leyte Gulf and the part of the Taffy 3 Group off the coast of Samar. Moreover the courage these men had and what they were up against is truly amazing to say the least. Written by James D. Hornfischer (Flags of our Fathers) he puts you right on deck with the men and machines of war.

Pop was always my hero !
