Just purchased a new CVA Cascade SB in 300 BO with the intentions of suppressing some time down the road. In the mean time I am going to load up some super sonic ammo and maybe shoot a deer or two. I have been researching load data but curious on those with experience, what has been successful?

Thanks

Forgot to mention that I have on hand Hornady 110 V-Max, Nosler 125gr BT and Hornady 150gr Round Nose bullets. Was looking for Barnes 110gr Tac Tx bullets but not finding them? Anyone load the Hornady 190gr Bullets designed for Sub loads super sonic to see how they perform over 1000fps? May not be able to get them much faster due to case capacity but curious how they would perform at say 1500 plus?

We have killed 5 bucks and a couple does using either the Sig subsonic (I think they are 208 grs) and the Hornady 190 Sub-X (reloaded).

Have not tried the Sub-x as supers yet but pretty sure they would be fine up to near 2000 fps.

Most were 50-75 yards. One doe was over 100 and required a second shot. More for insurance than anything else.

I'm loading the 110 TAC-TX in a couple of Blackouts, a CVA Scout for me, and a RAR that used to be mine for a friend who bought it off me. BCR has the 110s in stock right now.

They shoot really well from both rifles over CFE BLK, but velocity is fairly modest, right around the 2000fps mark through the chrono. Accurate #11 has produced good groups from his, but I haven't tried it in mine yet. Velocity with that is pushing ~2300fps.

Got some really good groups yesterday with Lil Gun 20.5gr and Hornady V-Max 110gr. I know the V-Max is a varmint bullet in .308 Win but I wonder how it would do around 2200fps or a little lower on deer? I have seen some impressive YouTube videos of them in Ballistic Gel out of the 300BO.

I’ve been shooting my Ruger American loading IMR 4227 with either the 110 VMAX or 110 Barnes Tac-TX. They’re both running about 2250 fps. I haven’t killed anything with those bullets yet but I wouldn’t hesitate to use either.
