I've been around for awhile and have seen a lot of different firearms, but 2 styles of Winchester rifles that I don't ever recall having seen are the .22 Magnum Models 145 and325. Do they really exist, or were they just a catalog tease?

The .22 Win Mag was introduced at end of fifties era, but with chambering first in Model 61 pump later. The round itself presented two issues. First, firing a regular .22 long rifle round, cases would split with unhappy results. Second the cost & availability of cartridges by comparison. You don't mention any era as alleged to those rifles and perhaps too, another brand in fact. It was a good and interesting cartridge generating a following, but generally - to my recollection - several generic re-intro efforts went largely nowhere!

To me, the 'historic' .22 RF series were the great, fun, econo-plinkers. Marketing upward cartridges without 'downward compatability, was a mistake. I have a nifty sixties era Colt with "extra cylinder" in "mag" chambering. Such case viable. As a dedicated gun 'all or none'. Not my cupoTea!

If no good response to the 'missing models' question here. Try ringing up the Winchester folks and inquiring!

Good luck & Best!

The Winchester 325 was cataloged as the .22 MAG version of the 320, both of them being detachable magazine fed bolt action rifles that were cataloged circa 1972, but I don't know what year they first appeared or the year that they last appeared in Winchester catalogs.

The Winchester 145 was cataloged as the .22 MAG version of the 141, both of them being tubular magazine fed bolt action rifles that were cataloged in the mid/late 1960s, but I don't know what year they first appeared or the year that they last appeared in Winchester catalogs.

I've never seen a Winchester 141 either.

I'm a fan of the Model 320, it is among my ten most favorite bolt action .22 LR rifles and since I am also a fan of the .22 MAG cartridge, I currently have 24 of them, and would like to find a Model 325 if they actually exist.
