I have the thermopro wired with 2 probes and a themapen. Been thinking about getting a wireless one for the rotisserie. We have a ronco counter model that does great whole chickens and turkeys

Thermapen and a fridge full of beer. I have a cell phone but don't have a clue how to use it.

I’m not very techie, so no wireless here. I can appreciate a hard wire (so as not to have to lift the lid) in combination with a hand held to true up and confirm when things get close.

Anything made by Thermoworks. The Thermapen mentioned earlier is a lab quality temp probe that reads accurately within 2-3 seconds. The newer version is the MK4 Thermapen. Has a few additional features from the original Classic Thermapen. Can't tell you how many of all the other brands have ended up in my garbage. Either not accurate on temp, or crap out in a relatively short amount of time.

Most informative post in thread.

As I predicted, I ended up with both. laugh I was finally able to get someone on the phone at BGE to let me know where to order new probes for the dual probe thermometer I have. Used the link above and got a good deal on a thermoworks instant read thermometer. I'm well set now!
