I'm doing a bonfire and bourbon weekend, and looking for some recommendations to try. I'm by no means a expert, I do like eagle rare and garrison brothers. I've never been able to taste wine or whiskey and tell why I like it other than it tastes good to me

Bowman Brothers. Not overly pricy and continually gets picked when I do blind taste test. It is from Virginia. I prefer the cheaper Small Batch over the Single Barrel.

Evan Williams Single barrel is good and still reasonably priced. Elijah Craig small batch is in that category as well.
Wheated bourbons like Makers and Weller make good sipping varieties also.

4 Roses, Knob Creek and Buffalo Trace are always in my cabinet. I have lots of others but those are my staples. Of course, like anything else, everyone's tastes are a little different.

My wife favors Jim Beam Black Label, which at one point was rated Best Bourbon in some competition. She also likes Four Roses.
I don't care for bourbon, so can't offer any personal tips.

I went to High School with the Garrison Bros. Their bourbon is indeed excellent, probably the best I've ever had. However, it is very expensive - more than a very nice single malt. I've been drinking Bulleit, which is very good IMO.
Still Austin is also rather good.

I drink Bulleit or 4 Roses. Both reasonably priced here. If I was to move up in price it would be Woodford. Everyones taste is different as to what they like.

George Dickle , the cheap 8 years aged. It might be the cheapest bourbon Dickle makes but it's good.
