Looking for new reading material. I just finished The Field of Blood, which was about Congress leading up to the conflict of 1861-1865.
I'm looking for books on Teddy Roosevelt, Lewis and Clark, Congress, the Revolutionary War, and books about American politics in general that are about things which occurred prior to the 2000's.
Feel free to add stuff that isn't necessarily in the aforementioned lane.
Thank you in advance.

Read some James Willard Schultz. It's maybe not as sophisticated as some of the stuff you mentioned but that guy lived the dream.

On Roosevelt, if you haven't read African Game Trails you should. It's not politics but it does give some insight to Roosevelt's views on a few things that are political.

Thank you in advance. Have you read "Glock, the rise of America's Gun" or "Black Ops The Life of a CIA Shadow Warrior?" If not, and you are interested, I send them to you for free.

The Holy Bible. A whole lot of history, and a lot about how mankind behaves.

The Holy Bible. A whole lot of history, and a lot about how mankind behaves. I have a multitude of Bibles of different translations, as well as Korans from different provinces, Talmud, Book of Mormon, several Sikhism texts, Dead Sea Scrolls, books on Paul such as Piloting the Strait, etc. I'm all set on religious stuff.

I just read James Rosen’s recent Scalia bio. It was fantastic.
Read Bram Stoker’s Dracula as well. Amazing.

If you've never read the Federalist Papers and the Anti-Federalist Papers, they are perhaps the most important and revealing books about what this country was supposed to be and how it was supposed to operate. I actually find the Anti-Federalist Papers to be more relevant these days, but anytime you can read what the framers of the Constitution were thinking you are getting more insight than you can get from any other source. These men knew exactly what would happen to turn liberty into tyranny, tried their best to prevent it and ultimately failed. But even with that failure, they created the most amazing country the world has ever seen.

Don't know if you're into animal stuff, but Cougars on the Cliff by David Johnson and Dr. Maurice Hornocker is very interesting. Hornocker did the first study on mtn lions in central Idaho back in the 1960's. This area is fly in only in winter when he and a houndsman treed numerous lions to establish population numbers, home range size, prey taken, etc,. They spent years, covering thousands of miles in some of the roughest country in North America.

I’m going to start The Arms of Krupp soon. Dennis Miller talked about it on his radio years ago. Bought a copy off eBay. History of the Krupp family through the ages.
Fear the crabcat.
