3:40am 8/22/23 Plant it... and they will come ! LOL At 3:22am as I was hooking up to see the streaming video of the elk field... I heard the loud clacking of antlers... Wow ! At 3:26am I viewed 3 bulls grazing in the field peacefully, but I suppose it was those buils sparring, and feeling their oats. Happy to see this so early. HH
Heck of a microphone on that cam also. I heard an odd crunching sound, the camera pans around and there was a deer about 30 feet away and I could hear it chewing grass.
Grew up in Benezette. Dad had 55 acres there. Beautiful country.
It still is beautiful, at least as for the scenery. It will be a busy place for the next few months what with all the visitors and then the annual Elk shoot.
For the last couple weeks the website hasn’t worked for me. Never had a problem until recently. The site comes up but no elk cam, just a Google ad. Pricks…
Benezette Hotel has pretty good food. I like their hot wings and a beer. They have another viewing station down the road, and that one is less visited.
9:01 pm 9/24/23 A big bull was on the road between the fields and another elk was on the far left field but could not identify it Connection issue then. At 9:18pm the big bull was laying down in the far left field as the other elk was feeding, but still could not identify it. I have seen a few deer on occasion, 1 buck last evening 6:01pm, and 1 cow early in the AM a few nights ago. Just checking the link on occasions. I have only seen 1 huge bull this year.
