Hi, I am trying to find out some info on a model12 in 16 gauge, it has skeet stamped below serial number and has a 28” solid rib, I have two one with hard buttplatecand one with recoil pad, they are choked improved cylinder? Any body have info on these?

The Model 12 you describe would be a Skeet grade gun. The choke could be anything from WS1 to full. In the length you describe, I’d say it was probably choked modified. The grade and the choke are unrelated.

They are both choked improved cylinder,one made in 42 and one in 48, does 28” make them more valuable?

I would not think the longer barrel would be any more or less desirable, and no effect on value.

It’s really going to depend on what the buyer is looking for. Most of the time, IC guns had a 26” barrel. The 28” IC barrel is a bit unusual for the small gauge guns but that doesn’t always translate to increased value, in my opinion.

These are both 28” barrels with improved cylinder, one of the has original box state 28” barrel
