I recently purchased an Optika5 3-15x44 scope. Initial impressions are positive however during mounting it I noticed that the elevation turret has some play, (moves during adjustments side to side front to back) while the windage is rock solid. Once I remove the dial the brass splined stud can can be rocked back and forth side to side. I probably know the answer but wanted to query the fire. Is this normal or should I just pull it off and send it in for warranty. Pretty disappointed in pulling a brand new scope out of the box just to ship it off for warranty work.
The .270 is the greatest hunting catridge ever designed. To dispute this fact is to only justify our loonieism in owning and hunting with inferior cartridges.

Customer service is non existent at the moment. Emailed customer service, filled out a return request on the website, called with no answer. I did not leave a voicemail today but I will try again tomorrow. Hope this is not a sign…

Yeah I think that was the voicemail I ended up at. I figured I missed a prompt and will call back.

Meopta was recently sold to Carlyle, and I believe it included the sporting optics group. Maybe that has something to do with the customer no service.
Doug might be able to help.
