I would like to know why they cannot catch this guy if he is in a small area as they are saying.,,,,believe have heard 2 sq miles. Where is the bloodhounds. I have hunted with some beagles that in that small of an area would track him down in no time. I mean, circle the place and keep getting it smaller and smaller....what am I missing here?

Don't know where or whom you're talking about, but just as it is with bird dogs and retrievers, there are a lot of law enforcement dogs that aren't worth a schitt either. Unless a law enforcement dog has a full time handler that knows what they're doing and keeps the dog tuned up with daily training/practice, a lot of them become no more than somebody's pet/public relations dog. If whatever/wherever the event you're talking about is in a 2 mile square area, they'd probably be further ahead with drones.

Local prison has two fearful 10 inch beagles and they do very good work. Funny to see them turned out though, when we all grew up with the stories of the bloodthirsty bloodhounds.

He's on the loose here, a convicted murderer already broke into someone's house and stole a duffel bag, clothes, knife, etc...

I hope he comes to my house in the middle of the woods for some supplies.

It is easier to hide/survive in a suburban/urban area than wilderness. Lots of sheds to hide in, decks to hide under etc etc. Especially when people are probably at work to pay for their McMansions in that area. Stealing provisions and supplies is also much easier. The volume of people out and about makes it harder for K9 tracking, using IR/Thermal from the helo at night etc etc.

Correct, it is. The urban philly burb towns outvote the more rural parts of the county. Some nice horse and other farms there but ruined by the philly scum and rich suburban white guilt liberals.
