Osky 6x19+/- Timber joists (primary) and 6x12 (secondary)... leaves me 9'-2" clear (bottom chord of the joist) and 10'-6" to the underside of the floor (12/4 T&G White Pine (probably)). Not sure if I will do dust collection... probably not. Big French doors 3 O'clock and 9 O'clock and a leaf blower kinda thing. If I set the columns on piers or Sono tubes... it be easy enough to raise the height 8"-12". Ones around here sell alot ot absolute garbage and I try to avoid having them pick the boards, rather take the time to do it myself, but understand that would be quite impractical in your case.

They lost 100% of everything a years or three ago to a fire... Insurance denied claim. A bunch more stuff as well... but we are helping them come back huge... hopefully. Assuming 9k PSI compressive strength of SYP (Southern Yellow Pine)... ON AVERAGE SAMPLES TAKEN... 1.35 million pounds. Slenderness Ratio would be maybe (pure guess) half of that... and the control criteria... SO only 675,000 pounds... 61" glue-up I am having fun... SORRY I POST TOO MUCH...
