Hello, I am selling this older CZ BRNO 527 in 22 Hornet. It is in nice shape with little use.

Please look closely at the photos and feel free to ask questions. It is nicer in person.

There are minor handling marks in the wood, all visible in the pictures. Anything that looks like marks in the metal are glare or lint.

I am not the original owner. I have owned it a few years and have not shot it. It may be unfired.

$1500 plus shipping, as shown with CZ rings.

Insured UPS Shipping (through ShipMyGun.com) from me an individual to your FFL is EXTRA and at actual cost, estimate $45-$55 depending on your location. Please know your state's laws, I don't and your FFL will.

If you are a PA resident I can probably mail this to your house.

An unconditional "I'll take it" trumps inquiries. The rifle is in Harrisburg PA if you want to see it or pick it up. Please message here or email z17112hotmail.com

Feel free to ask questions and thanks for looking...Tom

Thats nice! Confuses me a little. Looks like a CZ-USA American but the receiver isn't marked that way. This pre-date when CZ started CZ-USA?

It is not marked that way (what way ?) because it is marked Brno Arms Factory? I'm assuming that's the question...

The Brno Arms factory is where (and when) they were made by hand, much like pre-64 Winchesters.

Eventually CZ moved to a (different) factory with automation and they were no longer marked Brno Arms Factory.

That's the short version, the long version involves Nazis and capitalism...Tom

CZs are stupid accurate. I have never owned one that wouldn't shoot small regardless of caliber choice.

I asked about the proof marks because during it's history CZ and Brno BOTH played a LOT of games with the BRNO trademark. Many guns made after the mid 1950s were marked BRNO when they were actually made by what we know know today as CZ. The Czech government did that on purpose because even socialist bureaucrats knew the value of "branding" to the export markets. So CZ made guns continued to be pumped out marked "BRNO" up until the late 1980s . Which is why long after the BRNO factory stopped making rifles ,they still were revered in game fields all over the world.

After the wall fell in 1989 the Czechs became a capitalist economy . In 1992 ,CZ and BRNO became two separate companies . Even though The CZ-UB plant was actually the one making the rifles.many of their dealers still wanted "BRNO" marked guns. I think that is what we see here.

From 2000 to about 2005 BRNO itself was near bankruptcy. CZ- UB Bought them out in I think 2007. My guess is this rifle was either a dealer contract BRNO marked gun or an older BRNO marked action made into complete gun at the BRNO factory in the early to mid 2000s. The double set triggers and barrel without irons make it even more likely. It looks like a gun made for the German market

The wood finish and figure is typical of BRNO finished guns whose craftsmen were assigned to made the farewell Grand Finale edition of the m452 rifles about 6 years ago.

IMO ,this gun is fairly priced considering how rare it is.
