Decided to build a #13, found a screwed up #3 for 4 bills, so did a conversion using #1 extractor, #1 barrel (recrowned & headspaced), #1 butt stock and #1 forearm, glass bedded to the hangar then free floated, with the with scope base rib cut to clear the receiver and the #3 lever cut and reshaped. It is a 22 Hornet converted to a 7mm Rem Mag that shoots 3/8 inch at 100 with 140s. I found a faux wood synthetic stock for it while I was working on the conversion, but liked the wood better, so. The optic is an MPZ Tactical Military & Police Japanese glass, 11 lens scope. The package is a neat little rifle with a good bite.

Nice looking rifle. There was a 223 in my local gun shop that had a #3 in #1 wood. I should have bought it but needed to think about it. You can guess what happened…

Now THAT is really, REALLY nice!! Good thinking and planning.

Years ago I bought a #3 in 45-70. Rebarreled it to 222, removed the number 3 wood and replaced it with number 1 wood. Neat little rifle. Oh yea, I also added the quarter rib to the new barrel.

Nice!
I have seen where the #3 converted with #1 wood were referred to as a #2.
