Cans do tend to multiply!

I’ve got a 22 sparrow. A 9mm can by dead air and a CGS Hyperion. It was “the quietest can on the market” when I bought it. Might be something better now but I haven’t shopped since I bought it. But I do know that when I’m shooting with other guys running suppressed it has been noticeably quieter to my ear.

Buy once cry once. You’re going to have it for a long time.

Great minds think different...... grin

I built a Form1 first that had ASR threads, then bought a Dead Air Nomad Ti, due to light weight & ASR compatible.

Neither are dedicated to any particular gun, and I have the option for 1/2x24 or 5/8x28 adapters for direct thread, and/or being able to run with or w/o a brake with ASR threads.

Put me in the direct thread camp….

Though i did need an adapter for the CA Mesa 1/2x24 to thread the 5/8x24 suppressor.

I can’t recommend the EVO enough. I have two and a nomad ti. The ti is very nice but I went back and bought a third EVO. I’m not saying the EVO is better but considering it comes with both plates it’s about $500 less than the nomad ti and I think it’s as good. I too want to try a KGM I’ve just not pulled the trigger yet.

Appreciate all the feedback... Was going to go start the paper work on an EVO, but thinking my dog's other ACL is on the way out.

Spent a bunch on her right side early this past spring and guessing it will be the same, if not more here in the near future for her left side.

My dog(s) are my kids and they come before any toys. Tough seeming them age. She's a boxer mix that someone abandoned up the road from me six years ago. Didn't want another dog at the time, but would do anything for her.

Use your cash for the suppressor and finance the vet bill. Can pay it off while the ATF takes their sweet time approving everything. 😂

There’s cans (Banish) made here in South Dakota. I have one 30 caliber and one the fed’s are deciding if I’m worthy enough in 375 -hopefully should arrive in a month or two. I like the Banish 30 a lot - the shooter can take off about 1/3 of it and get lighter can if desired. Get titanium and you’ll never regret that decision.
I have a 375 H&H AI, a 35 Whelen and a 375 Whelen AI waiting for the Banish 375. Most of the rifles I use the Banish 30 on are .22 or smaller calibers 22-250, 22-250AI, 204, 17 Hornet - but also as big as a 30-06. I’m thinking I’ll thread a 300 Win Mag for that can.

I prefer classic.

How long is the current ATF "prison sentence" for cans?

I'm hearing as long as 1 1/2 years, and that's with the new and improved E-file in place.

Averaging 238 days (2023). A friend from here got his last week at 222 days.

Interesting datum here - wait times always seem to be a bit helter skelter (regardless if via trust or individual).

I’m surprised to hear guys having problems with Silencer Central. I have bought three cans through them now and it was the easiest process I could have ever imagined. It was so simple and every time I called with more questions a real person answered and helped me greatly. Every time I emailed I got a response quickly.

I have six cans now, three of them through Silencer Central and am thinking of ordering three more through them, hopefully the last I ever buy, never thought I would have this many.

I love the Banish 30, Banish 22 and the Banish rimfire. They aren’t cheap but they are great.

So adding an extra month to the process is worth the 'easy'?

I didn't know waiting an extra month is what guys were not liking about Silencer Central. People keep referring to "problems", I was just stating I had no problems and things were very smooth for me using them. And I really like their cans so far.

I don't know if it added an extra month or not. The wait was the ATF, not Silencer Central. They did the trust and everything, I just had to order it. The three cans I ordered and went through my local shop for took at least as long and I had to do the trust, pay him to hold the cans for a year and deal with him as a middle man. Other people may choose to do it their way, but in my experience it was much easier for me with Silencer Central. And like I said, it's worth a lot to me to call and have someone pick up immediately, every time and speak with me and answer my questions when I didn't know much.

Taking a week to submit, on the front end, and 3 weeks on the ass end for leo notification is NOT what yer local shop does. Locals usually submit on the day of app. When you get your approval, you go pick it up right then. Not take a full week to send your sheriff a letter, another full week to wait on a response that isn't forthcoming and yet another week to get it in your hands. But go on, being happy with all that...
