Having a fit trying to decide what scope or optic to put on this Christensen Ridgeline Scout in 300 Blackout. Bought it mainly for fun and because I have a 30 Cal Thunderbeast Suppressor. I've toyed with the notion of putting a Trijicon ACOG on it but that would put my cheek way off the comb because the ACOG would sit a lot taller than a traditional scope. I'm mainly going to shoot subsonic loads. Maybe use it to call varmints into close range? Haven't really any budget in mind. Ideas?

It sounds like you want to keep things in the lower magnification range - plenty of stuff will work there unless you're wanting a finer reticle.
Likely not any benefit to ya but my Scout (6.5 Creedmoor) wears a Razor 1.5-8x32.

My CVA Cascade SB in 300BO wears a 2-7 Leupold, Shoots so good I bought a 2.5-8 to maybe put on it.

I'd probably use a good LPVO. A 1-6x should work fine for a .300 BO. 1-8x or 1-10x are more expensive but could also work. I'd want illumination, which most LPVO's have.

Budget would depend on the level of quality you want. I use a Vortex Razor 1-6x24 Gen 2 E on an AR-15 I shoot in competition and like it a lot.

Trijicon Accupoint, 1-4, 1-6, or 3-9. I'd probably do the triangle post reticle.

I rather like LPVO’s and MPVO’s. Trijicon struggles horribly with reticles. Hint.

The 2–12x being daylight bright,capably covers all angles and the reticle is extremely intuitive. Hint.

One of many reasons there have been such a run on them and difficult to keep in stock. Hint…………….

Have you tried their Mildot and what are its shortcomings?

Which EXACT scope are you trying to cite? Hint.............

It lacks (10) Mil's of erector travel,parallax adjustment and I MUCH prefer the '12x's reticle. Hint...............

i have one of those. Besides what Stick mentioned, the reticle is far too thin, and its hard to find stuff quickly. I'll suffer it as i'm stubborn, but probably would go a different direction if doing it again.

The lack of parallax adjustment is a bummer - for that price. I missed that on my first read of the specs. I was just wondering what was off with the reticle itself (I prefer the 2-12x as well).
