It's almost unbelievable how fast a big boar javelina can run. If you try to run one down in a truck across deep grass prairie you better have your seat belt on. It seems they are about as fast as a coyote to me and it's no wonder they can hit a birddog quick. If you try to catch one in this kind of country before it gets to the next brushy draw you better have your dog inside the cab. Had video cam and fore end in my left hand coming up on this point. (Canon G15, took me 10 minutes to go back in time that far to find the pic.....lol) Pre smart phone days. I found some old hero cock shots from the same time.
