Have you ever wondered how flies fly so well? They flap their wings at 200x/ second. Fruit flies flap their wings once every 4 milliseconds. Linky: https://www.wired.com/2015/01/flies-fly/One issue not stated in this, is how the partitioned abdomen’s muscle get the thorax to get the different sections to vibrate at a high rate. I couldn’t find a source for this, but I think I’ve read that the thorax vibrates fast enough to reach a harmonic vibration.
