Looking for a left hand, OWB holster for a Smith M&P 2.0 9mm with a red dot sight. Kydex preferred, either 4.25" or 5", doesn't matter.

Most standard/non-optic specific holsters are cut open enough at the top front that an optic sight won't interfere but Smith makes their optics compatible pistols with tall sights, so the front sight won't fit in a holster made for the standard model.

I've looked at Fobus, PJ and Blackhawk, the first two don't make an optics compatible model (or I didn't find it on their websites) so does anybody know of any other brand that makes one?

Plastic/kydex holsters can be easily modified for an optic.
Just cut out what you need to clear the optic. I've done it on a couple of holsters, no big deal.

The problem he is having is the very tall front sight made to co-witness through the optic and clear a suppressor. The front sight channel isn't large enough on the holsters he mentioned. I would contact a reliable custom holster maker in the Kydex business and explain the situation. My guess is it won't be a problem with them. I use a lot of Vedder kydex OWB holsters.

Take a look at Vedder holsters, I've been very happy with the ones I have.

Second for Vetter. You customize all of it. Kydex color, belt loop style, safety/no-safety, red dot/no red dot. You can also order different style belt loops for carrying in different methods. Not cheap, but I've been impressed enough to have 5 of them.

I have two Comp-Tac Warrior holsters (a right hand and left hand), and have been very pleased with them. I am also trying out one of their paddle holsters, and it seems like a good one too.

Those suggestions are what I'm looking for and I'm checking their websites now.

I'm familiar with most of the major leather holster makers but not so much the kydex guys, so keep those referrals coming - thanks!

I just got a OWB kydex for a G48 from Upper Hand Holsters and really like how it rides. Just ordered mag pouches from them too, so we'll see how those are. I'm very happy for the price but these are my first kydex beside Blackhawks and Alien Gear. I wasn't a fan of the Alien Gear.
