I have an older Daly Miroku 20 gauge, 26” M/IC in really good condition. I picked it up this summer and took it out. Only fires 1 barrel at a time. Both will shoot if; open/close and move the selector to the other barrel, or if I push the trigger forward it will reset and shoot the other barrel.
I have heard the selector is kind of chincy and the little pin that holds it breaks, but also read about the hammer springs breaking.

Could be just needs a really good cleaning too?

Anyone have any advice?

Inertia trigger block is probably gunked up. Pull the stock and blast it with some cleaner. The inertia devise is pretty simple. Just make sure it's cleaned, lightly oiled and you should be good to go.

Almost, but not quite. Use NO OIL... Inertia blocks should be clean and perfectly dry.

That is a great shotgun, BTW, known for reliability. I agree with clean out the internals, but be sure to use a precisely fitting screw driver on the tang screws.

Some wrongly say this is an early Citori. It’s very clear with the design, fit and finish internally that it is a different gun entirely, and I would argue better design. Leaf springs, bushed strikers and beautiful fitting.
