I’ve had a 40-X repeater, a M-52 sporter, a Kimber and a Cooper .22LR. The Cooper is the one I kept and IMO, is the best of the lot. The rest went down the road.

I wouldn’t convert a single shot 40x to a repeater. I would sell it and buy a repeater.

I prefer classic.

Agree.

40-X repeaters are pretty rare. Mine was heavy and the chamber too tight for plinking ammo. Rounds would stick.

It was accurate with match ammo, but my Cooper shoots about as well and with most any ammo.

The Win 52 was heavy, shot about as well as the Rem. The Kimber was lighter, not as accurate as the others.

The Cooper has it all, does it all. Not too heavy, about right. Best handling of the bunch. My fav.

I have a couple Remington 541T's that I like and shoot very well for me.

Which Cooper are you referring to, the Cooper 57M?
