Thanks for the link.

If you can ever find the Outer's foul out 3 unit....it is the single most epic copper remover ever. I have no idea why they stopped making it.

There is a recipe for the solution online....and they unit is pretty simple.

Sweets 7.62 does it for me. Good stuff. Maybe when I run out I'll try wipe-out

Can’t see that accuracy has suffered any , all my rifles still shoot .5”-1” groups , some in the ,1’s and .2’s

I agree, Bore Tech Eliminator and Bore Tech Carbon Remover is what I use.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

There is a bunch of stuff that remove copper better/ faster than Sweets.
The very best is the Outers 'foul out' system. It's a pain in the arse but it removes all the copper.
As far as break-in. Most all newer barrels will benefit from some type of break in. If you don't believe it. See how long it takes to clean after the first shot compared to the 10th.
Generally i shoot and clean after the first 3 shots. Then start shooting at least 5-10 before cleaning again. By 10 shots a good barrel is really easy to clean.
Spit works better than Sweets at getting carbon out.
Run 5 patches of sweets or montana or whatever until the patch looks clean or only a hint of blue. Then run a patch dialed in saliva down the bore, they usually come out quite dark.

I bought a Teslong awhile back. So far, JB has worked the best for carbon and copper fouling. Haven't experimented enough with other concoctions to draw any further conclusions. Should be interesting to check out the collection.

Epic yes. If you want to frost a barrel with micro pitting, the original Foul Out system was indeed epic. Then they tried a less epic second attempt but wasn't very effective on copper. So they came out with the third series which removed copper and only marginally frosted barrels. Finally they just gave up. Smart move. I doubt you will see a 4th series.

I guess I'm the odd man out. I'm still using Butch's bore shine, worked well enough for me.

Before "break in" I use some JB bore paste thinned down with a little Kroil then move to Remington 40X bore cleaner.

Start off with a reasonably slick bore then do the shoot and clean deal.

So far it has given me some barrels that turned out pretty easy to clean in the end.

KG-12 for EXTREME DEPOSITS.

If you clean copper as a regimen...you are deliberately stupid or just ignorant.

Copper Equilibrium...study up.

I won't take barrel cleaning advice from anyone unless they own a borescope. As JB once mentioned, borescopes are best used to determine solid cleaning techniques rather than determining whether a barrel will shoot well. I bought a Teslong and now I use Wipeout and the accelerator before I DBC a barrel. After thst I just use Wipeout and I don't use much of it.

A borescope is an invaluable tool. And with the inexpensive versions, everyone can afford one.

Borescope

This thread just shows cleaning a bore is akin to whether to lap scope rings or not, bronze brush or nylon, or no brush.

At your age, am surprised you can even see your .22 rifle's bore even using your magnifier.

Here, let me inspect your bore with my borescope, d a, so that I can view where your brain is stored.
