This MGM barrel is looking great! It's 22 inches long and is .81 inches in diameter. After shortening one of the forend screws, I got everything together and went to the range to sight in the scope and form cases. The forend is torqued to 25 in/lb.

I wasn't concerned about the load because of the case forming, but it was 12 gr. of Lil Gun and inexpensive Winchester 46 gr HP bullets I bought a long time ago. The target below had the first six shots fired at 50 yd to zero the scope. I boresighted it before taking it to the range. If you look on the far right, middle, you will see the first shot. It was easy to move it over to the bull.

The next five shots, and yes there are five, went into .2 of an inch. I was happy with that for two reasons. The rifle was comfortable to shoot and that small group was formed with 22 Hornet cases being fireformed into K-Hornet cases.

I stretched it out to 100 yd. This is how 25 rounds did. 1.61 inches. I cannot expect any better.

I loaded 50 cartridges for this shoot. Two failed, but I didn't anneal them before loading.

Very nice Steve. I need to get mine out and put it through the paces you did.

Looks good! Likely will be a shooter. Mine is an Eabco, regular Hornet, for the Contender. Keep us updated on loads in the fire formed cases.

Think.

This is me loading a practice 2.75 inch rocket launcher, but I didn't fire them.

I use Unique powder to fireform my 22K hornet cases. I’m not where I can look it up, but I believe it was 7 grains. And then I stuff in a wad of tissue paper.
