A good email address is one you control and doesn't come with a lot of restrictions. We like having our own domain, even though it costs a few bucks. Comes with several email addresses, and the option to create a lot of "disposable" emails you can use for single use transactions (like posting items for sale or signing up for something that you know will spam the heck out of you).
