Anyone slumming it with a PA-15 that currently sell for about $550? I’m thinking about it as a backup to my primary AR. I could also go S&W sport II or something better if either/both are bad. I couldn’t find anything on the search function. Thanks in advance.

PSA often has sales for about that price. No issues with mine.

Got their premium (FN hammer forged, chrome lined) mid length upper. No problems. Pretty nice.

You may have to iron out a kink or two with a PSA gun, but once you do they're pretty much GTG.

Gonna give it a whirl. We will see how it works for a range/coyote/backup to the backup kind of thing. Free float m-lol compatible forend, mid gas system with nitrided barrel.

I had an older FN double chrome lined barrel given to me that came from a complete PSA gun and it’s really not a bad barrel and is gassed right.
I bought a CMMG 22 conversion kit awhile back and wanted a cheap upper to run it in. PSA had a 14.5” chrome lined carbine gassed pencil barreled H&R upper that I bought and just yesterday I stuck a regular 5.56 BCG in. After a few rounds blowing the carbon out of it from a gazillion 22’s it lined right out and ejects at 3:00. Given an H buffer or H2, I’m sure it’ll work just fine. Even as it is, it shot well enough for a $269 upper.
