I was browsing the huge knife department in Mark's Outdoors last week. Birmingham AL. Ran across the Kershaw Livewire OTF knife and was impressed. Magnacut steel, aluminum handle, side slide, fast and positive action.

Nothing to add on the knife,
Ive been to Marks the last few years for their July “knife show”
The weekend after the 4th.
Knife reps.
The gal from spyderco said they only do 2 retail visits a year , Marks is one.
I dont recall his name, older fellow, maybe owns the place… works the knife counter. Super nice.
In the foyer , they host knife makers.
I’ll shoot the bull with Bryant Hollinger for a few minutes…
Worth visiting.

Good looking OTF knife. I tend to like the Microtech autos and have an LUDT auto but no OTF knives currently. Kershaw has really been building some nice knives in the last several years.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

BigDave, the fellow I am dealing with at Mark's is Randy Yerkes. Sounds like the same fellow you were talking about. Spoke to him on Thursday and today, yet another knife showed up in the mail. This one is a Protech Mordax flipper. As smooth an action as you will ever see. Push button lock release. Another knife in Magnacut steel.
