Local farm and fleet store had a decent selection of primers on the shelf tonight! I was flabbergasted! Prices were ridiculous as is to be expected but its been years since I've seen them on the shelf there, so I guess thats progress of some sort. Of course ammo was hit or miss and prices were stupid.

Small rifle/pistol primers have been on the shelves down here for a good while at ~ $89/1000! Now, LRP's, that's a different story!

I quit looking for them years ago. I got enough for a while. I’d buy more if I ran across them but doubt I’ll run across any.

Thanks, Billy

Large rifle and magnum rifle primers have been harder to find around here but I expect it will continue to ease…

Seeing mostly small pistol and on occasion small rifle primers. No large or mag rifle primers.

Local Scheels has had probably 40,000 CCI SR primers on the shelf the last several times I’ve been there. Earlier this week was most recent. Price was $69.99/1000. They also had some pistol primers, both CCI and Rem. Didn’t look at prices.

Scheels is well stocked with primers around me, as is Fleet/Farm. Price was $70-80 per k depending on brand.

I recently bought 7000 primers at a local store for $59/1000 they were various cci and Federal. When the next shortage comes there will be guys on the fire pist off and calling me a scalper again for thinking ahead again.

You might want to decide what your buy price is because prices are coming down. When ww3 officially starts they could be hard to find again. My buy price was under $60/1000. If they get to $40/1000 or less again I'll back up the truck.

I wonder how that factors in with Lake City. Cancelling commercial contracts?

Lately I’ve been seeing plenty of SRPs and both small and large pistol primers.
It’s probably been 2 years or more since I’ve seen large rifle primers around here.
I bought 500 Remington 9&1/2s in Indiana in march. All I had cash for at 10 bucks a hundred.
Ammo and components I spend cash. It’s nobody’s business what I buy, so it’s cash only.
Call me paranoid, but I would bet that there’s government drones tracking stuff like that.
Luckily I have learned to horde stuff like this.
I’m way better off having and not needing than vice versa.
I figure Ben can use whatever I leave behind.
For what stuff is going for now, I could probably sell out and retire! grin
But I plan on burning up ammo until they stick me in a box.
