Set out on a 35 mile ride today with a clear radar for about a 50 mile radius. 25% chance of rain. With about 15 miles left, I hit the lake path. A mild tail wind would help me keep about a 20 mile per hour pace for the next 10 miles.

Made it off the lake and could see threatening skies brewing to the west. A quick check of the radar showed intense thunderstoms churning my way. The race was on.

Fuel by Orinoco Flow streaming from my bluetooth speaker and thoughts of the final stage of the Tour De France today, I dug deep into my reserves and made it home just before the the storms unleashed their fury.

Gladdens my heart to see you enjoying your new bike so much.

I'm a little surprised at the range you are getting. As nearly as I can estimate, my similarly equipped Big Dog should give me about 30-35 miles, up and down hills.

It's a lot of fun to get out and enjoy the exercise and scenery. And I always enjoy the photos you post.

Be not weary in well doing.

It does me as well. Always glad to see older folks enjoying toys. Makes me a bit envious too. Riding in the wide open spaces of the west is a spiritual level experience. I've been riding along out there an got goose bumps from head to toe. I'll be in Crested Butte in just over a month, and I am ready for it.

That storm that rolled through this morning was gnarly. It knocked power out at Hooters, and I couldn't go see my girl.

Are the rims on this ebike UST ready? Can you use tubeless tires with sealant?

Many of us just bought new Quietkat ebikes on a tip over at the Rokslide. Quietkat's $5250 Ibex full suspension 1000W 21ah is $1800 and change, and their Pioneer 750w (normally $2200ish) is $664. The 65% off sale is/was for this weekend.
Bought one of each for those crazy prices and so did many others. Shipping is free.
