Set out on a 35 mile ride today with a clear radar for about a 50 mile radius. 25% chance of rain. With about 15 miles left, I hit the lake path. A quick check of the radar showed intense thunderstoms churning my way. I'm a little surprised at the range you are getting. As nearly as I can estimate, my similarly equipped Big Dog should give me about 30-35 miles, up and down hills.
It's a lot of fun to get out and enjoy the exercise and scenery. And I always enjoy the photos you post.

Gladdens my heart to see you enjoying your new bike so much. It does me as well. Always glad to see older folks enjoying toys. Makes me a bit envious too. Riding in the wide open spaces of the west is a spiritual level experience. I've been riding along out there an got goose bumps from head to toe. I'll be in Crested Butte in just over a month, and I am ready for it.
