Value?
I was out checking zero for the upcoming deer season and an acquaintance was giving my 375 WCF a hard look again (for the tenth time at least). He is wanting to buy to it and some of the factory ammunition as well as my remaining handloads.
I've had it so long; I am not sure what the going rate is these days.
I have a 1978 top eject Winchester M94 "Big Bore" XTR with a Williams Receiver sight that has been hunted and is probably in 90% plus condition. It is not a safe queen or collectable by any stretch of the imagination.
Not looking to get rich off of the transaction; I don't use it much and it's just culling the herd.
I did post some of the components in the classifieds as he's not much of a reloader.
Just checking the market.
Thanks

The last 2 I've seen, in person, were in the $800.00 range. One I saw a few months ago, and the other last year at a small town gunshow. They were in very good condition, like new if you will. You say yours is not a "safe queen" or collectible, so it's probably not immaculate. There was one that sold on gunbroker last month for $636, that matches the condition of your rifle. A beautiful like new one sold a couple days ago for around $750.00. The market on most used rifles is pretty soft right now.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

BSA, Thanks for your insight on this; that's about what I was thinking for the rifle.

No problem. It's really a shame because I have one. I remember when they were pretty sought after and were well over $1,000.00. They are nice rifles.

I was thinking they’d bring more than that. I’d buy one if I saw it at that price.

Just saw one sold last week at a local online auction and it brought $1400 before 15% fees and taxes.

I can post completed sales there, but you can just as easily go there and see for yourself. When valuing a firearm, they pretty much set the bar. Like it or not. That's not to say I can't get in the car, drive down the road and find better deals.

It's too bad winchester didn't just neck up the 358 Win to 375. That would've been one hell of a lever action round!

They're unpleasant enough with full power loads as is 😂 I ended up putting one of the thin Decelerators on mine, because it was bruising the hell out of me every time I shot more than a handful of rounds out of it.

They are not fun to shoot off the bench, for sure..

Not at all. ☠️ I was out of commission a few days after my first range outing with it.
I'll be hunting a pretty thick spot this year, so I ended up just working up a 38-55 level cast load for it to hunt. That will still put big holes in deer at 10-60 yards, and it's a lot more fun to shoot.
I'm saving the fire belchers for the occasion that I ever end up somewhere with longer shot opportunities.
