I have been loading 212 ELD-X at max charge with H1000 and H4350. I have been shooting less that .5 MOA at 500 yds with my Bergara 300WM Premier. Trying 220 next week, hopefully

The 225eldm shoot and kill elk like their job from a 10tw 300win. I've shot them to 1980yds.

Looking cool is very important these days.... I am suspect of these new ELDM & ELDX bullets, plastic tip , conventional jacket etc... seems like e recipe for failure at any reasonable range.
I will stick with Accubonds and Partitions and give up a little B.C. for bullet integrity myself

I killed an elk at 70 yards with a 225eldm from my win mag and it bored all the way through. No idea on retained weight as it was unrecovered.

A local shop had the heavier ends at 1/2 price recently. I picked up a bunch of 225g and 208g. I could have got some 195s and 220s too but had to draw the line somewhere after spending over $3000 on bullets.

I have some older 208 amax amps and stuff I'll sell to offset my new eldms.

Not trying to hi Jack this thread but so far I’ve been struggling to try and get decent es and velocities using H1000?
Rem 700, 24” barrel 300WM and just started playing with 200gr eldx. Fed 215 seated to max mag length.
Started at 71 grs and worked up in half grain increments to 74.5.
My extreme spreads have been I. The 40-50’s with all loads. And a top velocity in the low 2800’s .
I’ve had no signs of pressure yet , primers look good , case heads expansion measured with dial caliber s is nil.
I see loads on the net posted as high as 77 grs with H1000 .
I’m at a point where I load another complete ladder test starting at 74.5 and going up in half grain increments loooking for es to level out and I feel I should be able to get 2950? Maybe that’s optimistic.
Or I switch to try Rl-25 as I have a good supply of it in stock.
Debating running some starting mid and max loads just over the chrony to see where the velocity is with rl 25.
Anyone want to chime in with real world results I’d like to hear.
I’ve loaded 165 AccuBonds to 3240 and 180 gr interbonds to just over 3040 with this rifle .
Maybe I’m chasing my tail playing with the eldx

I have been shooting the 300WM for decades and most of my rifles have loved H1000....... but every rifle and barrel is different, I have had a couple that did not like H1000
Never had any luck with RL25 but did have one barrel that Liked RL26 and one barrel that liked VVN165
