Recently picked up a model 621. They were only made for a short time what killed them? Did the odd 7 shot cylinder mal function or was it just o hard for the shooting public to remmber the 7th round? Mine seems to have a super smooth action and the extra one is not that hard to keep track of.
by the way, what are they worth? I got mine used in a trade for some old muzzleloaders i had gathering dust.

Not sure of the details of what a 621 is but their website still lists the 619, 620, 686+, and 586 L-Comp, for examples, which are all 7 shot L-frames. They make some 8 shot N frames as well in the Performance Center.

The 621... Isn't that the fixed sight version of the L-frame .357 with the two piece barrel? Many don't recognize the benefits of fixed sights on a combat handgun. And, a .357 might be versatile enough that adjustable sights are a plus for general purpose use.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

The 619 and 620 are great 7-shooters. HKS makes 7-round speed loaders. I am not familar with the 621, but I believe the 7-shot L-Frame S&W is here to stay.
