Congratulations!!! Most don't know how few positions there are for Master guns in the entire Corps. I was told when I made E-8 only 15% of E-7s make it to E-8 and only 15% of E-8s make it to E-9. Fewer make Master Guns.

He's in a very specialized MOS. He does cyber-warfare in a joint force. Said there are only a few E9's in the whole armed forces in his MOS. It's a pretty big deal.
Topped out and got nowhere else to go after this except into a very well paying civilian job or start his own business. The corp will need him for a couple years first.
