Worked at Popular Science Publishing in the late 1960’s, early 1970’s. We sent many, many thousands of copies of ‘The Hunting Rifle’ (and other JO’C books) to Outdoor Life Book Club members. Some ‘Book of the Month’ offerings were VERY popular.

Mine says published in 1970 - hard to imagine its been 53 years since I bought that "well read" book (collection of articles).
I am guessing I have read and re-read it 4 - 5 times.
