How many early first series (pre-WWI) 250-3000 rifles with the cross-hatched trigger were produced?

It looks like about 26,000 according to Rory's Pocket Reference, but I'm sure he'll belong to confirm if I'm reading that correctly.

They were made within a serial number range of 26,000 - but only a portion of those rifles were model 250-3000's.

I couldn't even guess. 20% of that? 15%? 25%? Even 10%? It was an expensive model..

Ah, there's the subtlety.

Thanks Rory. 26,000 seemed like a lot.

Thanks Rory. At age 80 with Long Covid and cardiac issues caused I believe by their Pfizer shots that did not keep me from getting covid 3 times, I’m selling some firearms and other things. I have an early 250/3K, clearly used and hunted, but completely unmolested with a Lyman tang sight, perch belly stock, cross-hatch trigger. Metal is very good. Wood is nicked and dented but solid. Any thoughts as to value? I used to use photobucket a few years ago but now have no clue how to post pics other than via email or on sites like Gunbroker and EBay.

You can use Imgur. Follow the prompts to set up an account. Very similar to photobucket and every bit as easy to use.

Thanks for the help. I would rather post for sale on the forum than GB if possible. Am presently tied up with wife’s health issues as well as mine, but will try to get a rifle or two up soon.
