After hunting 7-8 days off and on my 10 year old grandson finally picked a buck for his first tag. 223 AI with 55 grain Hornady SP's at about 150. One and done. Thanks to the Montana Apprentice program.

Outstanding buck! Wow, all that practice on prairie dogs sure payed off! I'm telling ya, he'll make a heck of a Guide! At least he'll be able to drive you around in a couple years, so he can put you on a nice one for yourself

Wow that is a very nice buck. I have been with most of my grandkids when they got there first deer and I know how proud a grandpa can be when he gets to experience a hunt like that.

That's awesome, my friend!!! Love it. Thanks Scott. I hope my lack of whitetail skills connecting with a good whitetail doesn't rub off on him. He wanted a whitetail until he saw this guy. Things change pretty quickly. He said deer are Really big when you have been shooting prairie dogs.

At least he'll be able to drive you around in a couple years, so he can put you on a nice one for yourself Geno, I'm pretty sure he could guide anyone on his own place already. Pretty savvy little guy. He already drives so there is that plus. I still have a tag and am not as particular as he was. Fun guy to hunt with, I'm lucky to live this close to him and the rest of the family.

I think so too Ingwe. I have a 243 AI all ready for him when he is ready. Not a fan of recoil so we go slow. He certainly has his eye on one of my 260 AI's though.
