Since I live in Ohio I finally bought a 350 Legend for the deer gun season coming up. Got a Mossberg Patriot. Took it out last weekend to sight it in. Seemed to be fairly accurate but man did it have a bad trigger.
Don't know how heavy the pull was but wouldn't be surprised if it was well over ten pounds. Has anyone had this problem with a Patriot rifle? What did you do?
When I catch up on my get ready for winter work I'll get out the owners manual and try to lighten it. Will probably write a letter to Mossberg and let them know also. Hopefully I will be able to correct the problem. I was hoping I'd have no problems with this gun. It's got nice balance and handles well.

Check on how to disassemble the bolt, look at everything.
Good chance it is adjustment/spring. But it could be a burr, corrosion,
or crud from manufacturing.

The info on adjusting the trigger is right in the owners manual.

Yes I also heard that trigger is owner adjustable. I’d try that first, still may not be to your liking.

Timney & likely others advertise advertise replacement triggers.
