where did you hit him? He broke his neck. I am not going to say if he meant to but it certainly worked. when my brother was 13ish yo, he shot and killed a doe in the open woods at around 125 yards, off hand and DRT. when we (Dad {RIP}, my little brother and me) got to the deer, the bullet hole was in the neck, approx. 2 or 3" from the head. its neck was broken too. my brother quietly says to my dad, "i aimed at the chest."

That's a heck of a deer! I have been hunting my whole life and have never even seen one in the woods that is as big as that one. Conngrats to the young man. I know you are a proud grandfather! A memory made that will be remembered forever!!
