Thinking it will go for 13 to 14k or possibly more. So far, it's at $2,900 with 24 days of bidding left...

Phil They are not that much new, moron, they are the bottom of the stack when it comes to quality, notorious for "doubling". Stick to stuff you know about...oh wait, never mind..
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

Phil I for one, appreciate the link. I will watch and most likely bid. Never can tell I realize this is the Express/Big Bore Forum, but what the hey, give me "double" demerits...... I'll probably never go to Africa. However that has not stopped me from acquiring a number of doubles, for perforating hoglets mainly and an occasional white-tail. I now have acquired six, 20 ga. Sabot, 30-30 WCF, 30-06 Springfield, 8 x 57R, 9.3 x 74R and 405 Winchester. All were purchased for less than $5.5K. Maybe bottom of the stack, but works for me. My first two were Merkel 141's. They are built on a 28 gauge frame IIRC, are petite, quick handling and balance well. First was an 8 x 57R, Single trigger. Second was a 30-06 Springfield, double trigger. To date no problems with doubling. The guys at Gordy's in Houston were able to set me up for Trijicon RMRs I'm luving them. Merkel 141, 8 x 57R Merkel 141, 30-06 Springfield. ya! GWB

Nice looking doubles, glad you enjoy them, I like H & K squeeze cockers, people say they are out of date, much better options out there, they are super expensive, they get hot, etc. But i like them,i enjoy shooting them, shoot what you like, like what you shoot.I'm happy for anyone enjoying the shooting sports.

I'd put them in the mid-range market - the ones I've heard about regulate very well, including mine. Over here they go for around $10k AUD for a second hand one in good condition. The trigger sequence fixes most of the doubling issues. Not sure that the 375HH mag version would have the doubling problem anyway - it doesn't boot enough to cause the problem I believe.

Doesn't mention extractors. Does Merkel offer both?
It's you and the bullet, and all the rest is secondary.

Older 140 Merkels were extractor only. If this one has ejectors, it was made in the last 5-7 years or so. It probably won't go for as much as you think, being a non-rimmed cartridge and not in a big-bore caliber. ...but who knows these days.

Doesn't mention extractors. Does Merkel offer both? Looks to be extractor only (the photos of the underside of the fore-end show that it is missing the "kickers" for the ejector function). About 10-ish years ago the dangerous game versions (above 40cal) had ejectors and non-auto safeties as standard - I don't think the 375H&H in that model at that time was included as a DG cartridge. Looks like the new ones, including the 375H&H have ejectors according to their webpage: https://www.merkel-die-jagd.de/en/products/guns/safari-db-140ae/So I'd say extractors only on this one, and likely an auto safety (aka APITA).

Anyone ever call them to see if it was the 375 H&H Belted Magnum and not the 375 H&H Flanged Magnum?
